ScrapSchool — Plan Your Homeschool. Keep the Full Record of It.
For homeschooling families worldwide

Plan your homeschool.
Keep the full record of it.

ScrapSchool is the only tool that handles both sides of homeschooling — the curriculum you plan before the year starts, and the complete record of everything that actually happened. One place. Every year.

The planning side
Teaching Plan, Auto-Schedule, Weekly Planner, Activity Sharing — structure for the whole year.
The record side
Activity Journal, Grades, Reading List, Portfolio Export — proof that it all happened, beautifully.

01
The chaos of running it day to day
What do I teach this week? Are we on track? Which child has what subject today? Most homeschool tools leave you improvising every Sunday night.

02
The invisibility of all the work you're doing
Homeschooling leaves no automatic trace. No report cards, no institutional record. The work is real — but without a system, it disappears.

See what ScrapSchool can do for your family

Watch how homeschooling families use ScrapSchool to plan their year, document every moment, and build portfolios they're proud of.

Every feature, one purpose

Everything in one place — the plan and the proof

Activity Journal

Log any learning moment in under a minute — photo, subject, note. Every activity builds the portfolio automatically. The record grows without you thinking about it.

Portfolio Export

Export a beautiful PDF or shareable browser link — filtered by student, subject, or grading period. Three themes. Password protection. Slideshow mode. One click.

Weekly Planner

Color-coded lessons by subject. All children in one view. Drag to reschedule. Mark holidays and watch lessons shift automatically. Never improvise a school week again.

Journey only

Teaching Plan + Auto-Schedule

Enter your curriculum once — any publisher, any method. Set your pace. Hit Auto-Schedule. The calendar fills itself from the first school day to the last. Lock what matters, let the rest flex.

New

Activity Sharing

Create a co-op or group event, share the link in your WhatsApp group. Other families join in one tap — it lands in their Planner. After the event, each family logs it to their own portfolio.

Grades + Reading List

Weighted categories, grading periods, and auto-calculated averages — built as you go. Plus a per-student reading tracker with book covers fetched automatically. Both are completely optional.

Multiple Students

One account, all your children. Each gets their own planner, portfolio, grade report, and reading list. One flat price covers up to 3 students — not per child, per family.

Password-Protected Portfolios

Set expiry dates, require passwords, create multiple scoped links for different reviewers. Revoke access instantly. Share confidently with evaluators, umbrella schools, or DepEd.

Subject & Year Organization

Create and color-code subjects. Every school year is kept separate and always accessible. Roll over subjects from the previous year in one click. Past portfolios never get mixed with the current year.

Simple by design

Up and running in minutes

1

Set up your school year

Add your children, create subjects, and set your school year dates. Takes two minutes. Everything is ready to go.

2

Plan and log

Build your curriculum and auto-schedule it, or just jump straight to logging activities as they happen. Either way, ScrapSchool keeps track of everything.

3

Export when you're ready

Your portfolio builds itself as you go. Export a polished PDF or share a link any time — for evaluators, grandparents, or just your own records.

Why it matters

The three things homeschooling parents actually need

01
"Am I doing enough?"
Every homeschooling parent carries this question quietly. Documentation doesn't just organize your week — it answers the fear. A complete record is the only real answer. ScrapSchool makes it automatic.
02
Plan vs. progress
Setting a plan and watching it become reality is what confidence feels like. ScrapSchool shows both sides — what you intended to teach, and what you actually did. That gap closing over a school year is deeply satisfying.
03
A keepsake worth opening in ten years
The nature walks, the first chapter books, the science experiments, the co-op days — ScrapSchool keeps all of it. Not as a filing system. As a memory. Something a parent will open years from now and cry over.

Common questions

A few things worth knowing first

The Teaching Plan is your school year map — you build it once before school starts with all your subjects, units, and lessons. The Planner is your week-by-week calendar. Auto-Schedule fills the Planner from your Teaching Plan automatically. They work together: Teaching Plan is the plan, Planner is the schedule.

Yes. Anyone can view the invite page and RSVP as a guest with just a name. No account, no app download required. ScrapSchool families can join and have the event land directly in their Planner — non-members can still confirm their attendance and appear in the attendee list.

Yes — ScrapSchool is priced annually because homeschooling runs on school years, not calendar months. You pay once and you're covered for the full year. There is no monthly billing option.

Grading is completely optional. You can use ScrapSchool purely as a photo journal and portfolio builder — the grading module simply doesn't appear if you don't turn it on. If you ever need grades later (for an umbrella school, transcript, or evaluator), you can enable it at any time.

Yes. You can upgrade any time during the school year and you'll only be charged the difference for the months remaining. Nothing you've already uploaded or built is affected.

The 14-day trial gives you full Journey plan access — Teaching Plan, Auto-Schedule, Weekly Planner, Activity Sharing, Grading, Reading List, premium portfolio themes, and password protection. No credit card required. Everything you log and build during the trial is preserved when it ends.

If your subscription lapses: uploads and portfolio generation are paused, and shared links are disabled. Your data is kept safely for up to 3 months, then permanently deleted. We'll remind you well before anything is removed so you have time to export your portfolios or renew.

What homeschooling parents are saying

★★★★★

"Finally, a tool that makes documentation feel less like a chore. I actually look forward to logging our days now. And the portfolio export — my evaluator had never seen anything like it."

"The Teaching Plan changed everything. I sat down one Sunday afternoon, entered our whole curriculum, hit Auto-Schedule, and my entire year was mapped out. I haven't improvised a school day since."

"Four kids, four curricula, one screen. The weekly planner is the reason I don't dread Monday mornings anymore. And the Activity Sharing for our co-op group — that alone is worth the price."

About us

ScrapSchool

Scrap

A scrapbook — the warmest, most personal way to preserve memories. Photos, notes, moments, mementos. Something you make by hand, with love, that lasts for decades.

And: to scrap something — to reject the conventional, to choose your own path. These families scrapped the traditional school system and built something better.

School

Not a building. Not a system. Not a curriculum provider. A philosophy — the belief that learning happens everywhere, every day, in every moment a family shares together.

ScrapSchool is where that learning gets planned and kept.

"We scrapped the system and did it our way — and ScrapSchool is the complete record of that journey."

Why we exist

"To give homeschooling families one place to plan their year and keep the full record of it — so every lesson is accounted for, every moment is preserved, and every year tells a complete story."

Where we're going

A world where every homeschooling family — regardless of their method, budget, or technical ability — has a complete record they're proud of. Not a compliance document. Not a spreadsheet. The full picture of their child's education: the plan they set, the lessons they taught, and the memories they made along the way.

What we believe

The values behind everything we build

01

Learning happens everywhere

A museum visit, a baking project, a nature walk — these are lessons. They deserve to be planned and kept just as much as worksheets.

02

Parents know their children best

We don't prescribe curriculum, methods, or schedules. We just make sure everything they do together gets planned, documented, and kept.

03

Beautiful things get kept

If documenting is a chore, it won't happen. ScrapSchool makes it something parents actually look forward to — because the output is worth opening.

04

A complete record is a love letter

To your child. From your family. About who they were, what they learned, and how they grew — year after year. That deserves to be beautifully made.

Plan your homeschool. Keep the full record of it.

Start your 14-day free trial today. No credit card. Full Journey access. Every lesson, every moment — planned and kept.
